Why Choose
The Pacific Family Partnership Foundation?

We are here to serve you and we understand that Pacific families can struggle to access Health & Disability Services and other needed services.

We know that Pacific families are collectively focused and will do their very best to be self-sufficient, whilst also supporting loved ones, including family members who have serious conditions that affect their quality of life and well-being.  Often, these conditions will have an impact on the lives of many family members.  It also is common for challenges in families to reach a  “crisis situation” before the search for help begins and is received.  We know that seeking support can be a daunting, difficult and tiresome process.  We will provide a proactive and positive approach to supporting our clients.

Stand-up Meeting

Sometimes families are unaware of services and resources available to them.  These services and resources may be available from Government (e.g. NASC, MoE or MSD) or Non-Government  organizations (e.g. PFPF). When comparing  service access rates between Pacific and non-pacific populations, there is a noticeable difference with Pacific people showing significantly lower access.    We understand that there may be a variety of reasons for this difference e.g. language barriers, knowledge of how to seek support, cultural beliefs, stigma or family pressures.  Whatever the reason, we will support our clients by ensuring all useful information is shared and understood by all parties, and most importantly by our clients.

Services for  Pacific children and families can often be disconnected within and between Service Providers e.g. state services (NASC), NGO’s and Community groups.  We aim to connect all involved stakeholders, for the purpose of enabling quality services to help our clients meet their needs and reach their goals.
